We've just added a new Transparency page, as required by the State of Michigan, Public Act 51 of 1951, amended. Transparency keeps citizens continuously informed about the activities of the BCRC. On that page you'll find financial reports, budget information, and other required links and documents. (Posted 8-05-2014)
In order to rid the roadsides of diseased, damaged, and leaning trees, the Benzie County Road Commission is participating in an ongoing tree removal operation. If you see that trees have been marked along the road frontage of your property, this means the Road Commission will be removing those trees. If you want the wood left behind for your own use, you must call the Road Commission at 231-325-3051 as soon as possible to make this known to us. The wood will be set off the road right-of-way for you. If you do not make your wishes known, all debris will be removed from the area. (Posted 5-31-2014)
