Mechanics The Benzie County
Road Commission is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Mechanic. This
is a full-time position. A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
A valid Class A CDL is preferred but not required. Applicants must be certified with
the State of Michigan in Heavy Duty Engine Repair-Diesel/Gas, Drive Train, Brakes
and Braking Systems, and Suspension-Steering Systems, or be able and willing to obtain
within 6 months of hire date. Previous work experience with similar equipment is
desired. Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen.

Temporary Seasonal Summer
Work The Benzie County Road Commission is seeking qualified applicants to fill
two positions for temporary seasonal summer work. Applicants must be at least 18
years old, possess a valid drivers license with a clean driving record, and a high
school diploma or GED. This position will be 40 hours a week from June through August.
Starting wage is $11.00/hour. Applicant must be able to pass a pre-employment physical
and drug screen. Applications are available above or at the Road Commission office.
Truck Driver The Benzie
County Road Commission is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Full-Time
Truck Driver. Applicants must have a current, valid CDL Class B with airbrake endorsement,
and be able and willing to obtain a Class A endorsement within 6 months of hire date.
Snow plowing experience is a plus. Starting wage is $17.96/hour. Applications are
