JOB OPENINGS: The Benzie County Road Commission is seeking qualified applicants for the following openings:

FINANCE MANAGER/SECRETARY TO THE BOARD 

The Benzie County Road Commission is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Financial Manager/Secretary to the Board.  This is a full-time position and is under the general direction of the Manager and the three member Benzie County Road Commission board. 

This position is responsible for supervising all operations of accounting, HR, payroll, accounts payable and receivable, inventory control, proficient with Microsoft Office software, including Excel and Word, fixed asset tracking with depreciation, possess superior oral and written communications skills necessary for interacting with various state, county and township officials as well as communicating with the general public.  Emphasis on preparation of all financial reports, annual and interim budgets, state and federal reporting requirements and all financial documentation for audit preparation.   

Minimum qualifications include a degree in accounting/finance/business and/or five (5) years related work experience.  Familiarity with GASB, governmental fund accounting and road commission or public works experience is preferred.

Full-time: CDL Mechanic/CDL Driver  - Immediate openings available. Applicants must have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. A valid Class A CDL is preferred, but consideration will be given to applicants with a valid CDL Class B with air brake endorsement and relevant work experience, with the understanding that a Class A endorsement will be obtained within one year from the date of hire.
